This particular sphere is a distinguished work in my SHIMMER series. The arrangement of well worn wagon wheel tires from a past era evoke a deeper sense for the cosmic energies that this series is symbolic of.
There is a seasonal routine here to relocate some of the more delicate sculpture away from the area in my sculpture park inhabited by pasture pine and their vulnerabilities during the New England winters. This sphere was placed to be in direct view from a kitchen window on Christmas Eve eve before an expected 8 to 12 inches of the fluffy stuff.
The next morning revealed this masterful collaborative effect from Mother Nature. It would be hard not to title this image White Christmas.
